On June 30th, 230th Criminal District Court Judge Chris Morton sentenced 18-year-old Ahmedal Modawi to 10 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to killing three valet drivers in 2021 outside the Prospect Park bar in Houston, Texas.

According to ABC 13, Modawi crashed into Fnan Meashos, Eric Orduna, and Nick Rodriguez while running from police after doing donuts in someone else's car. Prosecutors in the case recommended a 35-year sentence, and family members called Judge Morton's decision a slap in the face.

Fox 26 reports that Judge Morton has a history of granting leniency to violent offenders, who go on to become murder suspects.

Why did he do that to us," said Rose Orduna, whose son Eric was killed in the incident. "10 years? Three lives were taken."

According to the reports, Eric took the brunt of the crash. Orduna said, "Eric was like their shield." She added, "Fnan and Nick's shield."

Orduna told Fox 26 that the sentencing date was rescheduled after Judge Morton's son was in an accident. "You would think it would have made a difference, it didn't make a difference. His son was ok, ours was taken," she said.

Eric's aunt Debra Argueta said of the sentence, "I really thought he was going to get at least 50 years or 30 years not 10. It's just a slap in my family's face."

His other aunt Stephanie Guerra said, "I think it's ridiculous it's not fair for us, it's not fair for the families. It's like he got away with murder again. Ten years is nothing."

She added that Judge Morton thought he deserved a second chance. "He's young another chance at life so he's going to give him 10 years. What about my nephew? What about Fnan? What about Nick? They don't have any more chances," she added.

According to ABC 13, there is pending civil litigation against Prospect Park and Premium Parking Service because Modawi was too young to legally work as a valet when the incident occurred.

So, this ghetto rat gets 10 years in prison for killing three people. That means he's out in three years. So, no meaningful consequences for the ghetto rat's actions.
